We’re GK01 – a small, family-run business based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and we live and breathe football... especially life between the sticks! Our journey started in the most natural way – with our son, who’s a goalkeeper and has been mad about football since he could walk (you can see Noah in a few of our product pictures).

When he was younger and still finding his feet (and hands!) as a keeper, we noticed how tough it was for him catch the ball as a result of dealing with poor grip on his gloves (and a bit of a poor technique), and this was starting to effect is confidence. We needed something to help him grip the ball better, keep his confidence up and keep trying whilst he developed his style. We turned to a major brand, but after trying it and finding it did give him a little more grip, he ended up getting conjunctivitis after rubbing his eye.

That was our wake-up call.

We wanted something better – something safe, natural, and actually effective. So, we rolled up our sleeves and created our very own goalkeeper glove grip spray. It wasn’t just about performance – it had to be gentle and safe enough for even the youngest keepers out there.

That first spray was a game-changer for our son. He’s now playing academy football, and that’s something we’re really proud of. But we didn’t stop there. What started as one product quickly grew. Now, we offer:
